About CMBB
CMBB was founded on a single conviction: the owners who built North America's business backbone deserve a buyer who respects what they created.
"The owner deserves a fair exit, and the business deserves a future."
CMBB was founded because a gap existed in the market. Thousands of business owners — people who had spent 20, 30, even 40 years building something real — were being underserved by brokers who charged steep commissions, by private equity firms that stripped assets, and by strategic buyers who dismantled workforces.
Our founders set out to be something different: a direct buyer that acquires businesses with genuine respect for their legacy. No middlemen. No fees to the seller. No disruption to the workforce or customer relationships.
That mission has not changed. Every acquisition we make is guided by the same principle — the owner deserves a fair exit, and the business deserves a future.
We acquire businesses to preserve and grow them — not to strip, flip, or consolidate. The name, the people, and the culture matter to us.
We show our valuation methodology in full. No lowball anchors, no pressure tactics, no hidden conditions buried in the LOI.
CMBB acquires to hold. We are not a fund with a five-year exit horizon. When we buy your business, we intend to steward it for the long term.
We are committed to keeping jobs, skills, and operational capacity rooted in the communities where these businesses operate.
We focus on established, owner-operated businesses across Canada and the United States. Our approach is flexible — if your business has strong fundamentals and a legacy worth protecting, we want to hear from you.
